Richmonds High School is extremely fortunate to have at the helm of affair's a seasoned and experienced educationist, who has devoted her entire career to the mission of securing better future for children through quality education.

Hailing from a family of educationists, Dr.Sangeetha Varma was a promising student all along and earned herself the laurel of being a rank holder in the university.

She began her teaching career as a junior lecture for English language in the year 1984. In a career spanning over three decades, she has won various accolades and appreciation for her relentless efforts to bring out the best in her students.

After a brief stint in her first job, she moved to Kendriya Vidalya in 1987. Her dynamic spirit and quest to spread her knowledge to as many students as possible found a logical destination when the Richmonds High School came into being in 1994.

Her leadership qualities par excellence, coupled with a diligent and indomitable spirit, have contributed immensely in steering the school toward new milestones of success.

Along the way, Dr Sangeetha Varma has added many a feather to her hat too. Of the various awards of excellence she has received during her career, the most notable ones include National Integration Award (1993), Telugu Vaibhavam Puraskar (1999), Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award (2001).

The National Mahila Ratna Award (New Delhi 2002) and Best Principal Award (December 2004) from Vishwa Dharma Mandiram for contributions made to the field of education in education and varied activities.

The Best Teacher Award from the government of Andhra Pradesh and Vidhya Shiromani Award from citizen council of Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Teachers’ Day in 2006.

Apart from her chalking out the school’s trajectory to success, Dr Sangeetha Varma holds great passion for serving children with special needs.

Continuing the legacy she has received Honorary Doctorate from International Open University at Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia on May 4th 2014 for the achievements in education and the merits of excellence.

In recognition of her humanitarian services in the same year she received the much coveted Asia Pacific Achiever’s award on 15th June 2014.

The long list of awards that she received stands testimony to her indomitable spirit and commitment. In 2015 she was awarded with Pride of Excellence award by Global Achievers Foundation, Dubai (UAE) on 20th November 2015.

Despite her strong leadership qualities, Dr Sangeetha Varma displays a unique softness of character which makes her easily approachable, and equally loved and revered by her students.
